How Much I Shed in Japan

First blog on travel expense. Oh. Ok. T_T

I always talk and write about Japan but never really had a plan to go there unless for a school admission. Japan is too expensive, I always tell myself.

Submitting a bank statement for a travel visa gave me enough worries. What about the budget I have to save to experience Mt. Fuji, Skytree, Harajuku, Shibuya and Sushi? All money topics related with travel always give me second thoughts on pushing the travel.

And I am not the only one.

Found a good place to stay

“So….how much do I need to have in my bank account?”

“How much should I expect to spend?”

Travel with Your Mom!

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

While my Facebook is feeding up with my friends’ messages and photos for their Moms, I suddenly realized that most of the time we travel only with our close friends. Just last week, my Facebook was full of my friends’ summer outing with their close friends or partner. Well, yeah, some traveled with their families. But we haven’t really traveled with our Mom alone to have a real bonding trip, right?

There is only one person I know from my friends who will travel soon with her Mom. And isn’t it sad on some level? I gave her my detailed Japan itinerary because I want them to have a good time. Her Mom should not bother anymore with the itinerary. My friend can do all the bookings and stuff. I mean, it’s about time that we take care of our Moms in ways that we know we can.

Finding Beauty Everywhere

You can be in any moment of your Past because you love all the memories you have made.

You can be in any moment of your Future because you can’t wait your dream to come true.

But in Traveling, you have to be in the moment of your Present because this is the only chance to experience anything in real time.

Meeting Filipinos in Brunei Darussalam

So we were on the road walking underneath the scorching heat of the sun. No taxis. Long roads. Silence.

After only three hours under the sun...

After only three hours under the sun…

There were barely people on the road. All we had was our well-kept strength for long walks.

And then… PIZZA HUT!

Who wouldn't be excited for Pizza Hut?!

Who wouldn’t be excited for Pizza Hut?!

Then we met two Filipinos in Pizza Hut.

Told them “Help us!” for we were already burning from the heat.

And yes, they did. They introduced us to another Filipino who can help us go around the city.

Two Filipino women we met in Pizza Hut. They were so accommodating and shared with us their stories on how they were able to get jobs in Brunei.

This guy is a friend of the women we met in Pizza Hut. He welcomed us by giving us a ride around the city for the whole day! =) He even let us in into one of the high-end hotels in Brunei. Hoho!

We were chatting inside the car nonstop while enjoying our long drive. He even let us in into one of the high-end hotels in Brunei. Hoho!

Thank You….super. Salamat po!
