Attempting writing

This season I am in is so precious I want it to be documented. Attempting writing now so I can read my thoughts and accept them as they are. Write as raw as I can, in Tagalog and in English, if I have to.

I asked myself what is it that made me write freely and effortlessly before. Kahit wala naman significant happenings, I was just able to write freely anytime I like. Usually I spend Saturday as my day of writing. Punta to any coffee shop, order mocha and slice of cake then I just start zoning out. After few minutes, I will start writing whatever my thoughts are or my feelings. With music, madalas. Music drives me into that zone most of the time. Usually it is the Discover Weekly of my Spotify. I can easily get in that zone of writing quite naturally before.

After that hours of solitude with myself through words, I always feel refreshed or a better word for it is I feel so vacant. Vacant, not empty, but bakante. Parang bakanteng apartment, ready to absorb life again.

Moving to a New City

I have been living in Brisbane for almost a month now. How time flies! The last time I was stressed about this move was how to put all my stuff in two luggages but just yesterday I bought my first tabo.

This blog will give you a picture of the transition I am going through as I share with you what I have enjoyed and learned so far through photos of Brisbane City and a story about my day last Sunday.

The Rainforest Walk is tiny
but it has luscious palm trees
and a pathway.

The Winter Vacation Kids Will Love

The long holiday of Christmas and New Year just wonderfully ended! It was a 2-week vacation of icy wind hunting with family in Baguio and food feasting with close friends. My 2017 was very exhausting but the long vacation have given me enough drive to start 2018 with brighter hopes. I hope you did too! Happy Winter!

The welcoming spirit of 2018 has enthused me to turn my laptop on and continue writing this 2-month old draft blog. This was meant to be posted before the holiday in hopes you would have more ideas for a good snowy holiday. I hope I am not too late! I wish you booked a trip to Hokkaido for the first two weeks of February.

Staycation Is Golden

Staycation is becoming the treasure I seek.

“I am just so laaazy to get up and walk and…. ahh. I am so lazy to even talk” brushing off all deliverables. “Yeaaaaah. I’ve turned down night-outs so many times. I’d rather sleep”, my bestfriend said.

Staycation is my latest trend. And I recently did one in Hidden Valley Bed and Breakfast.

Up On The Valley

“Now, it is -18C. It should be warmer up there.” Mel switched his look from the road to my outerwear, “Aside from your ski pants, you should be ok.”

“But this is already a snow pants”, I insisted.

“Hmm. Yeah”, he nodded but was obviously unconvinced. He turned the steering wheel to right and quickly the snow started to fall on the valleys of Fish Lake.

I’ve survived -40C in Dawson. What could still be worse than that?

Wind.
