Getting Away

September 13, 2011 – Wat Pho, Bangkok, Thailand

We didn’t ride tuktuk. Maybe we were really afraid to be conned by them. But practically speaking, they charge higher fare than taxi. Even if they are one of the things you should try when you’re in Bangkok, I wouldn’t mind to ride a regular taxi, more cheaper and they’re air-conditioned.

Jelai and our Tour Guide.

I have a feeling that this tour guide made a prank on us. We were informed that we won’t pay for anything during the temple tour package. But in each of the 3 temples, he instructed us to pay at the entrance. Although the entrance fee doesn’t hurt that much, 20-50baht, still, that’s bad. And I can’t understand myself why I didn’t complain.

Coconut Ice Cream

September 11, 2010 – Damoen Saduak Floating Market, Bangkok, Thailand

Thailand is the 6th placer in top coconut producers of the world, having my own country as the 1st. It is no doubt that Bangkok offers a lot of coconut products including coconut ice cream. What I like about this is that the bowl is a coconut shell with remains of its meat. It is so simple but creative. And the ice cream is well-mixed with milk, sugar and some tiny crunches of ice.

So Sad

I saw this kid crying because she can’t move while her mother was paddling. I want to get her out of there.
