All Alone

August 1, 2009 – Camarines Sur, Philippines

Camarines Sur is well-known for its virgin islands. But the best thing is that when it’s low tide, you can walk on the vastness of the beach horizon as far as you can and as much as the boatman says it’s safe.

The girl in the postcard is my friend who’s now living in the States. (xoxo Marivic!)

Balloony

June 8, 2008 – Basilica del Santo Niño, Cebu, Philippines

Ate Dawn, a high school friend of Ate, volunteered to tour us around Cebu City. The first spot is the Basilica del Santo Niño. This basilica is a 16th century church in Cebu which was built on the exact spot where the image of the Santo Niño, a sculpture depicting the Holy Child Jesus was founded by Spanish explorers in 1565.

The basilica, like other roman catholic churches, has a number of vendors one can have a bargain with over souvenirs and other fun stuffs. Above is my Ate having fun with the colored balloons outstanding the whole crowd of vendors.

It’s Green

April 2008 – Sagada, Philippines

Having known for extreme activities, Sagada is one of the few destinations that truly maintain nobility despite of ever-changing tourism in the country. Sagada has a  population of approx. 10,000 people living mainly with daily farming of cabbage, tomatoes, green pepper, potatoes, carrots, beans, and other temperate products.

One need to take at least 12-hours bus drive from Manila, with 6-hours drive on rough roads, to reach and experience the distinctiveness of Sagada.

Swing!

May 20, 2007 – Laguna, Philippines

Caliraya Re-Creation Center and Resort has its unique location offering a breathtaking view of nature’s gifts in Laguna. It is a short ferry boat ride from the shore of the pristine man-made Caliraya Lake after riding 2-hours drive from Manila. The resort has fun-filled activities and facilities which provide fond memories for both learning institutions and family gatherings.

Sunset

December 31, 2010 – Coron Island, Palawan, Philippines

I am fond of Sunset and Sunrise and everything about the sky, sun, moon and stars. I don’t think there is someone who don’t like them. I like trees just simply because they branch out mightily. But I like most is their reflection against the Sunrise or Sunset. They always stand out and inspire me to embrace creativity.
