April 10, 2009 – Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

This is my younger sister, Lala (we nicknamed her as Lalabonejing), wearing a Vietnam flag top. She is really sweet and still a kid at heart. We were in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the largest airport in Vietnam. The airport closes at 9pm so people need to arrive and check in before the closing time. Although I did enjoyed this spacious airport where I can hide away for a good read or sleep, our flight was 12:30 am. We need to wait for 7 hours! I can finish an entire book and get bored afterward. Haha.

April 8, 2009 – Cao Dai Temple, Vietnam

Caodaism combines Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Vietnamese Spiritualism, Christianity and Islam into what it calls the ‘ideal religion’ – quite amazing to think this religion can exist.

In Cao Dai Temple, Caodaism, a very exotic religion from Vietnam, the followers gather and make noises during 60 minutes non-stop. Not one single word. The main symbols are Buddha, Chan Kai Chek and Jesus who wears a mini-skirt and steps over a snake’s head.

A breakfast of dragonfruit, papaya and pineapple was spent in a bar few streets from our rented room.
