Korea is the best country for a Food Travel. All it takes is to have few thousands of won and food tolerance. Tteokbokki (my favorite), Gimbap, Fish Cake in Soup, Delimanjoo, 32cm soft ice cream, Potato Strips (see photo) are just some of the street foods in the long list of Korea cuisine.

Mame and I spent the cold nights around the endless alley of boutiques with, of course, stopovers on every street food kiosks. This is a sure way to remember your travel in Korea.

April 24, 2010 – Seoul, Korea

N Seoul Tower has been designated as a major tourist attraction where the beautiful panoramic view of Seoul can been seen. The letter N stands for “new” look, and it boasts the title of “Best Tower in Asia”. The tower lobby has a Media Zone, a Pavilion Experience Hall, exhibition rooms and performance halls. There is also the N Grill western-style restaurant that revolves 360 degrees every 48 minutes, and Sky Restroom that offers comfort and scenic views of Seoul.

As you have seen in my postcard, the amazement does not stop here.  Thousands of couples go here to leave a covenant of their unending love by locking a colored and creative padlock in the terrace border of N Seoul Tower. Each couple writes his/her love devotion on the padlock and once locked, they will throw away the key as a symbol that nothing will break their covenant forever.

If Filipinos enjoy “chikahan”, Koreans enjoy chilling out in parks. One Filipino we met said that Korea government prioritizes nature over the need to destroy them for modernization. They save nature because they know that their people will benefit from it in return.

I enjoyed the weather in Korea, cold breeze of wind, muggy and hot sun. Probably, the cold breeze is what has been left by the winter season. It contributed a lot on a perfect summer experience.

What I really love about four season countries is that when Winter passes by, the superb coldness of weather that there is no way for you to get out of your house other than wearing layers of clothes, Spring will welcome you with a brand new season to experience.

I spent hours daydreaming about myself running around a field of flowers, lying down and rolling over the flowers while I read a good chapter from my Bible. It would surely leave an unbounded happiness in my heart.

The reason why Spring is the best season is because it is between Winter and Summer. It is a supreme equilibrium between two extremes.

The first thing I became amaze about Korea is the mini tv they’ve got in every vehicle, either private or public ones. The mini tv will show you the street map and instruct you the shortest route. Also, once you get into the vehicle, a voice greeting from a Korean lady will welcome and inform you the date and time. This voice will warn you if you are running more than what is required.

Geesh, that is far great technology from my country’s.

Also, each vehicle owner must leave their personal number displayed on the front mirror. You can park anywhere and in any way but once someone needs to get out where your car is in the way, they will call you up, otherwise, they will report your vehicle.
